Description
OCM Genesis is the flagship 10,000-piece PFP collection from Metagood's OnChainMonkey, and the first 10K collection ever inscribed on Bitcoin via Ordinals. Originally minted on Ethereum on September 11, 2021 as the first fully on-chain 10K PFP created in a single transaction, the collection was migrated to Bitcoin starting November 2023 via 'teleburn' at a cost exceeding $1 million, backed by 99% of DAO voters. The project pioneered several Ordinals techniques, including parent-child provenance, recursive inscriptions, and reinscription; each Genesis sits on rare Block 9 450x satoshis and arrives as four inscriptions (Perspectives, 20219, Deconstructed, and a Certificate of Ownership). As of October 2026 it ranked #1 by market cap among Bitcoin Ordinals collections.
